Winter is officially here, and I’m calling it now. This season is all about texture, layering, and statement pieces that feel both elevated and wearable. If you’re building your winter wardrobe or planning your next styling session, these are the trends I predict will take over the streets, Instagram feeds, and every “get ready with me” this year. Let’s get into it.
1. Double Belts
Yes… two belts.Layered, stacked, or crossed, double belting is becoming the winter accessory moment. It adds instant shape to oversized silhouettes and makes any simple outfit look intentional. Think long coats, chunky knits, or maxi dresses cinched twice for that high fashion edge.
2. Maxi Coats
Long coats are back and they are dramatic. Maxi lengths in wool, leather, faux fur, or quilted puffers elevate even the laziest outfit. Throw one over loungewear? Still chic. The longer the coat, the more runway your look feels.
3. Ponchos
We are stepping into cozy chic territory. Ponchos are returning as the ultimate effortless layer with neutral tones, cable knits, and blanket silhouettes you can drape over anything. It is giving Aspen lodge energy but still feels completely everyday wearable.
4. The Puffer (But Elevated)
We’re not doing basic puffers anymore. This winter welcomes structured, oversize, metallic, cropped, belted, and even dress-style puffers. Function meets fashion, and it’s loud in the best way.
5. Wool Blazers
Winter's obsession with sharp tailoring is still going strong.A wool blazer instantly pulls a look together—whether paired with denim, leather, or a maxi skirt. Neutral greys, oatmeal, and deep browns are the colors that will dominate.
6. Animal Print Moments
Leopard, cheetah, zebra—it's all back.Animal print is no longer just an accent; it's a full vibe this winter. Expect statement coats, boots, and scarves taking center stage.
7. Faux Fur Everything
Texture is having its moment. Faux fur coats, cuffs, handbags, and hats are taking over this winter with a warm and glamorous feel. The fluffier it is, the better.
8. Winter Velvet
Velvet is returning in rich jewel tones and luxe silhouettes.Think velvet pants, blazers, bodysuits, and dresses. It's soft, moody, and perfect for holiday or night-out looks.
9. Shearling Accents
Shearling trims, collars, boots, bags—EVERYWHERE.It adds warmth and texture without feeling bulky. The perfect upgrade for anyone wanting that cozy-but-luxury winter vibe.
10. Balaclavas
The balaclava trend is staying—and becoming more fashion-forward.Knit versions, faux fur versions, colorful versions… expect this accessory everywhere on snowy mornings.
11. Shawls & Capes
The soft, drapey layering trend is about to blow up.Shawls and capes offer the perfect combination of comfort and elegance. They pair beautifully with both casual outfits and going-out looks.
That wraps up what I’m seeing for winter! This season is really about textures, layers, and pieces that stand out in a subtle way. Play around with whatever feels right for your style and make it your own. I’m excited to see how everyone puts their looks together :)
